moments of inspiration can be fleeting, so when something catches your eye, you have to go for it. while driving past waimea bay (on the north shore of oahu) a few weeks ago, i saw a bunch of people diving off of some cliffs. in my head, i saw an opportunity to put together a little series. so i literally stopped the car and turned around. it was fun and refreshing to just sit there by myself and take pictures. you don’t always know if what you see in your head will translate into something cool, but i’m happy with the results. a continued lesson: always have your camera handy, and do your best to think outside of the box. mw
